Mississippi River Smallmouth Bass | Jason Mitchell Outdoors

Mississippi River Smallmouth Bass

0

Great under the radar smallmouth bass fishing on the upper Mississippi River in northern Minnesota. Classic small river bass fishing where there is little pressure and a lot of aggressive fish. Jason Mitchell joins Luke Swanson from Living the Dream Guide Service.

Some stretches of the Mississippi River are just accessible by jet boat, canoe or kayak but we were able to reach some great locations with a large aluminum boat and outboard. Started the day with jerk baits and found a good topwater bite as the day progressed. Poppers like the Salmo Rattling Pop were 🔥. Experienced an incredible fishery that showcases high densities of smallmouth bass with big fish potential. Very uncrowded and underutilized fishing opportunity that takes hardly any equipment to enjoy.
