This week's show takes us to the Garrison Dam Tailrace in central North Dakota where we use jigs to catch several walleyes with Eric Olson from Evinrude. Besides discussing several tactics to catching fish and controlling the boat on a river during the winter months, Olson explains how new motor technology is making anglers much more effective and efficient while out on the water. Lake Sakakawea is a large reservoir on the Missouri River in central North Dakota. This lake has a legendary history of being one of the premier walleye fisheries in the entire Country. Because of pool fluctuations however, this lake has had a turbulent past. This segment explains the rich history of this dynamic reservoir and how the high water conditions of today will again put this reservoir on the map as being one of the top walleye fisheries. Later in this week's show, we experience some of South Dakota's best largemouth bass fishing on Roy Lake where we cast spinnerbaits over submerged weed beds.

Montana's Fort Peck Reservoir is a massive body of water and just might be one of the best regions in the country for anglers specifically targeting trophy walleyes. We fish this reservoir with Todd Riggs from Glasgow, Montana where he demonstrates some of the tactics he and his partner, Ken Schmidt have used to win several Montana tournaments. Later in the show, we travel to Chequamegon Bay near the community of Ashland, Wisconsin where we target trophy smallmouth bass with seasoned guide, Roger LePenter. Lake Vermillion in north eastern Minnesota is a strikingly beautiful lake that is renowned for musky, walleye and smallmouth bass. The walleye fishing in particular is getting a lot of attention. We fish this lake with two guides, Denny Van de Linde and Dave Schaefer from the Lake Vermillion Guide League where they explain how to catch a lot of walleyes and bass by live bait rigging points and sunken rock piles. Later in the show, we travel to one of the premier waterfowl regions of the Country, Kenmare, North Dakota during the annual "Goose Fest" to partake in the festive atmosphere and take advantage of some great field hunting with veteran hunter, Mike Bartuska from Minot, North Dakota. Later, we travel to Lake of the Woods, Minnesota where we catch several walleyes and sauger by using GPS and a Vexilar to locate rock reefs. We are joined by a young angler named Zach Dockter from East Grand Forks who has really impressed me with his knowledge and passion for fishing at such a young age.
