Canadian Destinations

Minnesota Destinations

IMG_1365Minnesota offers some of the best freshwater fishing in the country. There’s a great variety of water, from big lakes to scenic trout streams to the mighty Mississippi. Roaming these waters are large and smallmouth bass, trout, panfish, northern pike, muskies, and of course, the mighty walleye. Hunting is also a big tradition here, with small game, waterfowl, turkey, pheasant and deer seasons opening every fall. Hunters in other states envy Minnesota’s ruffed grouse populations, too.

Missouri Destinations

Our rivers, lakes and streams abound with countless species of fish and some of the nation’s best catfish fishing is found in Missouri. Beautiful spring weather brings the perfect temperatures for a peaceful day on the water.

Montana Destinations

peckThe Northeastern half of Montana is a paradise for hunters and anglers. Fort Peck Reservoir offers some of the best fishing in the nation for trophy walleye, northern pike, lake trout and chinook salmon. This region is also a tremendous destination for big game hunting opportunities for world class elk, mule deer and whitetail deer. Under the radar bird hunting for both upland and waterfowl is one the best kept secrets in the region.

North Dakota Destinations

JasonMitchellJune_BlogHeaderFrom the Missouri River System, the Red River to Devils Lake, we film a lot of great shows in North Dakota for a simple reason, the fishing is awesome. The Missouri River and Lake Sakakawea are favorite destinations for filming walleye shows. Devils Lake is our go to ice fishing mecca where we get some of the most extraordinary walleye and perch footage possible, not to mention great open water walleye material to use in our shows. The Red River is one of the most under recognized trophy catfish water in the United States.

South Dakota Destinations

Traveling to this great state to film some of the many fishing opportunities is always a pleasure. The Glacial Lakes Area, along with the Missouri River system including Lake Oahe are favorite destinations for Jason Mitchell Outdoors. From trout and smallmouth bass to incredible walleye action, we get some of our best footage from this state each season. If you love to ice fish, you will also love the Glacial Lakes Region.
