Big fall smallmouth bass with big minnows on Kabetogama Lake in northern Minnesota. Using big sucker minnows and chubs is a fun way to target big bass in the late fall. You can actually feel the minnow attempt to get away before the bass eats it. Solid fall pattern that really develops when the water temps drop below fifty five degrees. When smallmouth bass become lethargic and start to stage off deeper offshore rock structure in anticipation for winter, the big minnows become even more deadly. Becomes a contest to see how big of a minnow these bass will attempt to eat!
